Dementia Advisory Service

The Dementia Advisory Service is available to: People living with dementia, carers of people living with dementia, and service providers of people living with dementia and/or their carers. Other community members Referrals are welcomed through.

General Practitioners, Medical Specialists, Aged Care Assessment Teams, People living with dementia, and their carers and families can contact the Dementia Advisory Service.

Provides information about dementia.
Provides assistance with referral to other services
Facilitates access to carer education and resources
Provides access to short term counselling
Promotes community awareness of dementia, including the benefits of early diagnosis and support services available
Works with other services to improve coordination and strengthens links between services
Provides support to local networks
Promotes access to dementia training and educational opportunities
