TY TCF

Posted by Tonette Quinert ( Greville) at Tuesday 06 April 2010

i was a student at tcf in 1990 or 89 and if it was not for them i would not be past my problems. They helped me get through the grief i had for my father who passed away and other problems i had as well. It made me a better teenager to live with and understand my problems even more. i just want to thank all the staff there.

Many thanks for your comments

Wow I can't believe it has already been 4months since i was at TCF.

Oh and in that 4months i have had many of dramas, but let me get back to that shortly.

I had a pretty screwed up childhood and teen years, many things went wrong, danger was everywhere drugs and alcohol was my life and trouble was my middle name. i got arrested many times from age 13 up till 20. i was on the verge of getting sent to a womans Jail. and i dont know, but i sorta snapt back to reality for a minute and thought about things. I talked to my Probation/Parol officer and she give me a list of Rehab numbers, TRIPLE CARE FARM stood out from the others so I called up right away, that day i had the Admin person send me the aplication forms to my email. I printed them out right away and started to fill them in, i then took them back to my Pro/Par officer and she finished them off and sent them back that day. not long after that i got a assessment appointment, so i traveled up for that and had no sleep for 38hours so i was a wee bit manic when i was talking to the assessors. then i came back home, i was freaking out so badly over the thought of jail but at the same time i let everything roll how it rolls.

another week passed then i got a call saying there is a bed free 1week from now, do you want it.. i freaked, i didnt want to leave town just yet but at the same time i wanted to get away ASAP so i accepted, and started packing my bags that day.

As soon as i got to TCF took my first step on there grounds, i felt

safe instantly and felt that some bad energys had dissapered.

Just everything about TCF is amazing. How things are ran, how excepting everyone there is, students and workers, they just make you feel so welcome. like yeah there was some dramas between people while i was there for my 15weeks, but there is drama where ever you go these days.

I SO MISS IT THERE.........

Anyway, the day i got back home from TCF i lost a close friend, I hung out with her and her bf the afternoon i got back from 3:30pm up until 6:50pm we were suppose to meet back up at 8pm. so our last words to one another were 'LOVE YA.. TOODLEZ' i left went home and done a couple of things then went back up to the place we were to meet back up, she wasnt there but her bf was i asked where she was he told me "We had an arguement she has gone to find you or she has gone to the river" (She was found by 3boys hanging at 8pm she done it at 7:25ish as corener reports say. So pretty much when i left them the bf started a fight and yeah *Sadz/ Tears*) (("they say that you have only 20minutes to react on your feelings before you actually stop and think of everything like what people are going to think and be like if you do it blah blah blah. Thats what the detectives told me..")) i didnt think anything of it because it was well they always fought.. i find out that night later on Aleysha's dad called me up, and said she was gone, i didnt understand at first then he said "she is gone my baby girl is gone she killed herself down at the river" then instantly i had this rush of emotions run through me it was anger first because all i thought was it was all her boyfriends foult, i broke down so bad for days on end, then after Aleysha Motbey's funeral i left town and stayed at a friends place for a couple of weeks to get myself sorted. ( I still think about her all the time, she has visited me spiritually a few times, she still hasnt crossed over)

then came back to my home town and i was fine. there has been alot of stuff happening since too, but i wont get into that, all i can say is that i am handling things heaps better then i used to, i dont abuse drugs and alcohol anymore, i think things through before i do it insted of me just acting on impulse. and next week i start a JILLAROO course which is going to be great, i dont know anyone up there other then a person i have only spoke to over the phone that i will be staying with (privit rental) and so this is YET another journey to be begun.

I wil write more another day. untill then just remember

Everything happens for a reason, even if there is no reason for that reason to start with, so take each day as it comes, Live life to the fullist and dont forget to KEEP POSAMISTIC....

PEACE OUT xoxox

333 saved my family

Posted by jess at Friday 19 December 2008

I first heard of 333 care farm from a friend that worked in mental health.

I'd given up hope on my 22yr old son,he was into drugs and alcohol, plus tried suicide twice, that i know off, this went on for 4 yrs plus he was selling, weekends were a nightmare, this was our last resort.

My older daughter would yell at me dont help him mum, my hubby and i would have arguments, and my other son was disgusted, we had a person in the house that we didnt know, anymore, and didnt want to know,he was a stranger, someone none of us knew,

He attended the 12 week course with no options, and hated the idea, but had no choice, after a week of being there he said it was ok, 4 weeks after said he loved it, loved the people and all the opportunities, he went to tafe and earned some tickets, that was a bonus. My husband and i would go up and visit and we noticed a big difference in him, we actually couldnt get him to stop talking, it was lovely. instead of shoulders shrugged or one or two word answers, thats when he had to speak to us.

Then he graduated, what a wonderful graduation, I have been to many functions were people graduate and receive awards, but never never have i been to one that has so much emotion so much care, dedication and love, what a moving day.

I take my hat of to 333 Care Farm, the work they do is not easy, but they do it with such style, congratulations 333 care farm for a fantastic job well done, thank you so much, you have saved my family.

Triple Care also most likely saved my life

Posted by Mel at Saturday 19 April 2008

I too am an ex-resident of Triple Care Farm, I graduated in 1994 - it was a fantastic program and I am very pleased to see that it is continuing.

I was also 15 at the time and I *know* that if it hadn't of been for Triple Care I would definitely not be where I am now, I really hate to think of what would have become of me, a 15 yr old girl regularly abusing drugs and alcohol and living on the streets... best thing I ever did was agreeing to go to Triple Care.

Through that program I learnt that I didn't need to be "off my face" all the time there are other ways of coping, they helped me to arrange a traineeship as a legal secretary which I continued with and have now made my career - I even started studying Law!

Inspiring Triple Care Farm

Posted by Cheryl Pearce at Tuesday 22 January 2008

I attended a December 2007 graduation ceremony at the Knights Hill property, for students of the program. The food service was provided by Kiama Rotary & CWA of NSW Jamberoo Branch. The dignified ceremony acknowledges the progress of each graduand. Certificates & prizes are awarded. Considerable insight is given into the structure of the program & to the staff & the facilities of this magnificent enterprise. Some students & their families gave personal testimonies. The good news is that Government is starting to provide financial support in addition to considerable community support. More programs like this one could benefit young people across the nation. I believe interested people may visit the farm by appointment, simply ring the office. The organisers are very proud of the farm. There are many ways people can help. eg. the CWA ladies cook baked dinners, others help with property maintenance tasks, Rotary nominated the farm as a major fundraising project CP.
