lst rate park

We have just spent a week at Moss Vale park while playing in a veterans golf week. The young couple who run this park were so friendly and helpful. The park was shady and beautifully kept. The sites large with a lovely BBQ area. Clean amenity block and NO charge for the key. The owner even provided a musical evening for the many golfers and others staying at the park. It was a wonderful evening and much appreciate by one and all. If you are looking for a shady, quiet, peaceful park run by an enthusiastic young couple then I highly recommend Moss Vale.

what a do over $5key.

We heard the conversation with the manager on anzac day 2010 regarding the $5 key complaint and other silly complaints, and we know who the arrogant and rude one was, be assured not management. If you can't afford a holiday stay at home with your$5.. women when they reach a certain age expect everything to be free. Haven't you had a key cut lately.

Pleasant Stay

I have stayed at this park on numerous occasions and found it be very clean and well presented. Reading one of the earlier posts i was suprised to see that there was bad feedback regarding the cleaniness of this park. I also noticed that there was a complaint about keys for amenities. we always request two keys and it has never been a problem. Maybe these people were stuck in the traffic in sydney to long! My husband & I had a wonderful stay and definately recommemnd this park.

Moss Vale no holiday!

Posted by Huxley at Friday 24 December 2010

We arrived a bit late due to very bad traffic in Sydney. My husband was greeted by a gruff man who demanded $5 for a toilet key! just the one mind you, so you have to take turns in having a shower/pee or let one or other in first! that's after you actually found the loo, No map was offered, no have a nice stay. The caravan park looked old and very tired like it all needed a really good clean. The caravan sites were all sloped and we had the misfortune of parking under a bright 24 hour light that would not turn off. In the morning we could not get out of there fast enough. On the bright side the ladies showers and toilet were very large and the BBQ was clean and had gas.

Moss Vale Village Park is now under new management, a fresh change is in the air at the park.

Arrogance of Managers

Posted by Elayne Pickthall at Sunday 25 April 2010

The "Managers" of this establishment are extremely rude and arrogant and when asked not to speak to me in such a rude manner I was told "I will speak to you any way I like". Whatever happened to customer service and "the customer is always right"? Also watch out for the $5 key deposit ripoff. If you leave without collecting your money they will not send it to you. They get very upset about opening the office before the anounced time even though the sign on the door says "or press buzzer". Even though the park is very nice and peaceful, because they are the only park in Moss Vale (the only other park is at Mittagong) they appear to take advantage of their monopoly and treat you with a "take it or leave it" attitude.

Lovely park, friendly people.

I had a wonderful experience at this park. They may not have pictures on this site, but they have a very good website that I visited prior to staying there. We were welcomed by the owners even though we arrived a little late and the office was shut, and we found the grounds to be well kept and all amenities clean and tidy. The rates were affordable and it was a very peaceful park, having been in a lot of others that are noisy and dirty, it was a nice break! What a shame it is that all the other happy campers aren't posting here too!

i booked a caravan site for a week with the owner operators of moss vale park and after staying for 2 days i took my family away for a day outing to the caves, so i told barbera that, and i told her i was coming back that evening...when i got back that afternoon i noticed that my site was taken by other people, i spoke to barbera and she said that the site was no longer available to me and had rented it out to other people...i was disgusted so i asked for a refund for the remainder 4 days and she responded by saying that they have a no refund policy.....watch out for these people...they are dishonest people and will try to rip you off.....

When trying to select a budget holiday in Southern Highlands, Mittagong is the only park one would feel welcome to as Moss Vale Village Caravan Park, maybe lovely, but there are no photos or detailed information therefore I don't consider this very good advertising, so perhaps this could be corrected, especially those using the Web-Sites looking for accommodation.

Not Happy!

Posted by Anonymous User at Thursday 14 February 2008

We were charged for accomodation at this place even though we were unable to stay due to the cancellation of an event in the Southern Highlands. We gave as much warning as we were able. Very unethical on the part of the owners who still stood to make a lot of money on an unusually busy weekend without having to rip people off!!!!
