A wedding night joke
Posted by Shane at Friday 01 October 2010
we had booked the honeymoon suite months in advance, for the night of our marriage, when we arrived there wasnt a bloody thing in the room,NO milk,NO flowers,NO champagne, nothing except for a spa bed,& on OUR wedding night, the management need to learn about hospitality practices,& how to look after newly married couples, bloody shame.. I wouldnt recomend this place to anyone,& working in hospitality,my word gets around,& at $280 for the night, ripped off..
Ignore the damning review!!!!

My wife Deborah and I stayed with Paul at the Fitzroy Inn for just one night and we were instantly made to feel at home, even though we did not have an evening meal, we had breakfast which was cooked in front of us in a lovely kitchen and was fantastic. The cost was also very reasonable, definitely in keeping with the wonderful room, wonderful food and wonderful hospitality.
Even if I don't have a reason to stay the night in Mittagong, I will go there just to stay at the Fitzroy Inn. Be sure to ask Paul about the redundant brewery next door and go and have a look!!!
Dont believe the above review!

This place is a a joke. We stayed for 2 nights and have decided that this is the new faulty towers.
The owners must have written the above review. Dont be fooled.
Food was super average & the rooms are simple, too simple for the money you are paying.
Second to none!

Our stay at Fitzroy Inn was exceptional.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel right at home and so welcome. Our room in the School Masters House was luxurious, with all the mod cons of a four+ star establishment and the charm of an historic hotel.
Our dinner in Fitzroy's restaurant was sublime. The Tunnel Mushroom Tortellini is a show stopper, the chicken breast stuffed with ricotta and herbs from Paul and Maria's own garden was mouthwatering and the pudding erupts, when cracked open, with molten chocolate...and that's only a taste of what we enjoyed. Alex is a master chef and creates a fine dining experience second to none.
Our stay at Fitzroy Inn was everything we'd hoped and much more. Paul and Maria were wonderful hosts, and Alex kept our mouths watering all weekend. We can't recommend Fitzroy Inn enough.
