Sylvan Glen was an amazing place to have my wedding, if i had to choose again it would still be at sylvan glen!! The staff and scenery are amazing! Not sure if the 'dissapointed' reviwer got the right place!!!

I could write a long drawn out reply to this review but I choose to keep it short and refer to what sylvan glen is promoted as and has been for the last 10 years
Out of town destination wedding venue hosting rooms for all friends and family
why would you book the october long weekend at an out of town destination wedding venue if you didnt want to stay out of town
all our clients are given literature explaining what sylvan glen offers
sylvan glen offers the entire venue privately to one wedding!!
If anyone doubts the service we offer which I am told every week is second to none please checkout facebook sylvanglen and see many many fabulous reviews due to all my dedication to every wedding held here!!

I booked this place 8 months ago for my wedding in October only to find out 7 months out from my wedding that they wanted me to book all of their accommodation for 26 people at $250 a head - nothing of this was mentioned or documented in anything given to me until 8 months after making my booking and putting down my deposit! When trying to sort all of this out the owner was intent on blaming the whole mishap on me as I hadnt asked if I had to book the accommodation and she presumed I would somehow just know that this was a requirement. So as I rushed around to try and find somewhere else to have my wedding reception all she was concerned about was blaming it on me and giving my deposit back so she could book someone else in my place.
I would never recommend anyone to them and suggest that if you are considering this venue for your wedding look elsewhere!
