Oktoberfest

We visited Robertson on Sunday 22 and before heading back to Bowral we stopped off for lunch. After looking around for somewhere to eat, we went into the Old River and found they were celebrating Oktoberfest. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. They had a musician who was playing German music and everyone got into it. One of the customers even got up and sung a few songs. It was fantastic. The German food (Pork Knuckles and sausages) were beautiful and very tasty. My wife and I enjoyed the food, music and the atmosphere, the other customers were very nice to.

I haven't come across big servings like this. Goodluck to you Old River, I will be brining my friends and family.

My husband and I dined at the Old River in Robertson and I must say the food was spectacular. I ordered the Full Rack of Ribs and my husband had the Mixed Grill. I have never seen such big servings. Definately value for money. You want ribs go to this place, the sauce whatever it is cooked in is mouthwatering.

The service is very good as well. You definately feel part of the family when dining at the Old River.

I recommend this place to all.

American Independence Day 2005

We were visiting from the States last year (2005) and friends of ours who live in Wollongong took us to the Old River Grillhouse for American Independence Day. The day was great. There were all other Americans who actually reside along the coast or in Robertson. It was such a great atmosphere and really felt like home. Thank you to the wonderful staff who were very friendly and inviting and the warm happy atmosphere.

The food was impeccable, especially the Ribs and Steaks, my gosh the size of those ribs were huge and the 800gm steaks were to die for.

Way to go Old River, thank you for showing us what a great time we had. Oh and a big thank you to Uncle Sam (who was one of the waitresses) you did a great job.

My next trip down under I will make sure I come and visit there again.
