A rug shop in the old tradition. Rugs are all hand knotted and individually selected for quality and appeal. Old and new kilims and carpets come from Turkey, Persia, Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.
Silkwood also sources rugs for individual patrons and offers a trial period in situ. A cleaning and repair service is available.
A selection of antique ceramics, jewellery and fine arts complements the rug selection.
Open 10:30 - 4:30 except Tuesdays and Sundays or by appointment.

Best rug shop ever...

My husband and I recently discovered this shop and what an amazing and wondrous shop it is. Our friends were raving about it and we had to go. It is an Aladdin's cave of beautiful rugs and treasures from the Middle East. The owners, John and Marion, are so knowledgeable and friendly we could have stayed for hours learning about rugs and carpets. Congratulations on a fantastic shop and thanks for making us converts to these beautiful works of art.
