Moidart is arguably one of the best gardens in the Southern Highlands.
Some of the attractions are The Sunken Rose Garden, The Silver Garden, The Woodlands Garden, Herbaceous Border.

- Admission: $6.00 (No charge accompanying children under 12).
Open dates are from the 21st of September to the 8th of October 2006. Other Spring 2006 dates still to be advised.

I'm not a proper gardener, but I know what I like. I like the tranquility of Moidart and the open layout of the gardens. There is a great deal to see, but it's not overwhelming. The trees are a big hit with me, although on this last day of September many of them are yet to sprout any foliage, and the roses are still some way off. The tulips were beautiful and the camelias also. An abundance of lovely small white and blue flowers in large patches, unknown to me. I even appreciate the flowers growing in the steps. The house, large as it is, is absorbed by the gardens and doesn't dominate the site. I'll come back later for the roses and for the trees again.
