Oxley Mall Bowral is hosting a Children's Circus workshop day where your child can experience the magic of the Circus Theatre.
On Saturday 28th January, Oxley Mall Bowral is hosting a Children's Circus workshop day where your child can experience the magic of the Circus Theatre. With professional tutors from real circus and theatre companies,and fabulous circus craft to create, these workshops will make a great finale to the school holidays!
- Commedia dell'arte - Comedy Performance Workshops with Bread and Butter Theatre's Clarence Sophie Dany (9 years and over), 2 hours - 9.30am till 11.30am & 1pm till 3pm: $30
- An intro to Circus Characters - Learn about the characters of the circus, the ringmaster and the clown and their individual roles. Learn the movements, the walk, the facial expressions, the entrance, the exit. Instructor: Vinnie of Circus Unique. (7 years and over). 1.5 hours - 9.30am till 11am & 11.30am till 1pm: $20
- Juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking & circus games - Learn the real art of how to juggle, spin a plate and walk on stiltsInstructor: Pixie from Circus Unique. (8 years and over). 1 hour - 9.30am till 10.30am, 10.45am till 11.45am & 12pm till 1pm: $20
- Circus Craft in the Oxley Mall Big Top - (Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult) 1 hour workshops. All materials included. Please bring an apron to wear. Instructor: Corinne Dany Photography & Design
- Craft Workshop 1 - Make a pop-up 3D circus scene with mini, moveable circus characters. 10am till 11am (5 years and over): $20
- Craft Workshop 2 - Decorate and assemble a beautiful 10th Century french paper puppet called Polichinelle. 11:30am till 12.30pm (3 years and over): $25
- Craft Workshop 3 - Paint a clown face ceramic plate you can eat fromIncludes plate, firing, glazing and colours. 1.30pm till 3pm (7 years and over): $50
- Craft Workshop 4 - Create a clown costume including wig, hat, BIG buttons & shoes. 3.30pm till 4.30pm (6 years and over): $25
