Chamber of Commerce
A Chamber of Commerce was begun after discussions between the Mittagong Advancement League and the businessmen of the town in January 1948. The league came to an end and merged with the new organisation.
Banks
In July 1883 a branch of the Commercial bank was established and in January 1891 a new bank building was opened. In February 1955 the Savings Bank opened a branch with the first manager being Mr E Ruff.
